REVIEW: Mucho Stylez - Raspy Tongs EP out on BluFin records

Mucho Stylez - Raspy Tongs EP  incl. Andy Sidewalker and Toni Rios Remixes

Mucho Stylez notes in his facebook about page: "Born in Davos, Switzerland. Grown up in Munich, Germany. Studied in New York, USA .Lives in Zurich, Switzerland. Plenty of influences, genetically and from experience to come up with something auditive that makes people shake". He continues: Or in other words, I know how to ski, drink beer, speak English and usually I'm on time. So where's the music coming from? I guess from everywhere. I've DJ'ed and produced in all of these countries. My first musical experiences (I would step away from the phrase compositions) where done on an Amiga 500 (4x 8 bit mono channels) and later on the legendary Atari ST with a 20MB HardDrive and a stunning black and white resolution. However, there was a lot of cool sound hardware next to it and Eric Powell from Bush Records, UK gave me my first releases back in 2000. That was cool. Ending up on Carl Cox's and Louis Osbournes playlist was almost cooler. Carl referring to Bush Records as a "wicked label" at fun night in New York's Centrofly club really imprinted back then.A couple of release later o, I could land a deal with Jelly Bean Records in New York."

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Blu Fin is considered to be one of the most respected techno labels from Cologne, Germany with thousands of fans worldwide. The latest release comes from Mucho Stylez who delivers two excellent tracks perfectly remixed by Andy Sidewalker and Toni Rios. Raspy Tongs is a powerful funky disco infused techno burner with spoken vocal samples and Giorgio Moroderish style bassline upon the funky techno groove, The breakdown is melodic with orchestral melodramatic style melody that will surprise the crowds. Andy Sidewalker remix transforms the original into a dynamic tech house burner with additional acid layers that bring the classic Hardfloor feeling to it along with classic synths, techno effects, spoken vocal samples that keep the dancefloor burning. You can not resist the beats that's for sure and wait until the beat returns after the breakdown for a very Vangelis like synthy hook that blow you away. Bispol is deep tech house with chunky grooves and lively percussion, funky basslines and variety of cool soulful vocal samples along with vintage synths and little piano chords. The breakdown is extremely melodramatic with orchestral sounds, vocal samples and classy piano chords. Really a magical journey of creativity and experimentation. The beloved Toni Rios unleashes 2 fantastic versions. The Mellow version as the title suggest adopts classic metallic techno grooves, thumping basslines and great application of the melodramatic melodic themes. Toni Rios deep mix is quite similar with some nice changes here and there perfect for deep tech house heads that will find impossible to resist the heat. #PureGold Love IT[/content]
